Academic Affairs

Working with the academic affairs team, the assistant vice provost for academic affairs provides guidance for academic units to enable their success in supporting the academic mission of the university. The team also helps units to understand and comply with state and national standards. Academic affairs recognizes that the success of our academic units is critical in achieving KU’s aspiration to be recognized as a top-tier public international research university. Administrative responsibilities for Academic Affairs includes academic policy, program review, new program proposals, assessment/accreditation, and the liaison to the Kansas Board of Regents for Academic Affairs.
