Biography

Casey began her higher education career in 2008 at Northwest Missouri State University in the Housing department. In 2012, she joined Metropolitan Community College, where she supported student success by building foundational support systems within Academic Advising. In 2017, she transitioned to the University of Kansas, where she has served in progressively strategic roles—first in the Office of Admissions, then as Associate University Registrar, and now as Director of Academic Program Development.

Across all of her roles, Casey has been driven by a passion for collaborative academic innovation. She specializes in helping academic teams navigate the complexities of program design, curriculum development, and institutional approval processes. Her work emphasizes building partnerships that balance creativity with compliance, always centered on improving access, flexibility, and relevance for students.

Casey holds a B.A. in English Literature from Hanover College, an M.S. in Recreation from Northwest Missouri State University, and an Ed.D. from the University of Kansas. She is passionate about designing academic pathways that support student mobility, ease transfer transitions, and foster curriculum innovation.

Outside of work, Casey enjoys life with her partner, two children, and six dogs. She’s a dedicated animal rescue foster parent, an avid audiobook listener, and a novice gardener.
