Gina Wyant

Gina has built her career through progressively complex leadership roles across diverse fields, guided by a commitment to servant leadership and a passion for continuous learning. Her academic background—including degrees from Moberly Area Community College, Hannibal-LaGrange College, William Woods University, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Baker University—has shaped her approach to higher education. This blend of scholarly preparation and practical experience enables her to evaluate academic programs from multiple perspectives and strengthen strategic initiatives, instructional leadership, and academic quality.

She began her higher education career at Ottawa University before moving to MacMurray College as Associate Provost, where she also served as Interim Director of Online Education and later as Interim Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs & Student Life. Her leadership spanned major accomplishments and significant challenges, including lifting an HLC probationary sanction, guiding the rapid transition to fully online instruction during the COVID‑19 pandemic, and supporting academic continuity through the college’s closure. Gina joined the University of Kansas in 2021 as Director of University Assessment and now serves as Assistant Vice Provost for Program Life Cycle, providing leadership for the Academic Program Coordinating Committee (APCC), the program life cycle team, and the Center for Online & Distance Learning (CODL), with a focus on policy development, process improvement, and enhancing transparency and accountability in academic program administration.
